Genesis students a lovely group - March 2013
This week, I was in Hungry Jacks and a group of students and their teacher came in for a quick bite to eat. After witnessing several groups of high school children coming into Hungry Jacks, what a pleasure it was to see such a lovely group of teenagers. We usually see groups from other local high schools who leave a lot to be desired. The customers are sometimes quite scared of their antics. The group from Genesis Christian College were so lovely.

High caliber teachers - January 2013
Often there is a wide range of emotions that you feel about your child's teacher with many ups and maybe a few downs. However, last year, my daughter's teacher was the finest of the fine. Never have I experienced
such care, consideration and christian love for both myself and my daughter.

In conversation with other parents, my daughter's teacher was always spoken about with the highest caliber.

... For 2013, I am so thankful for another wonderful start to the year with amazing teachers again.

Thanks and gratitude - August 2012
From the moment we enter the grounds; we are greeted by smiles by the staff manning traffic. The grounds are always clean and well kept. The senior students always greet me politely with happy faces.

Every function we have attended such as Under 8’s day, sports days, cross-country and the musical have been efficiently run providing our children with happy learning experiences. The children are so well behaved and effectively controlled.

Genesis Christian College has far exceeded our expectations and we are very proud to be part of the Genesis family. We look forward to our children having a long and happy school career at Genesis.

Thank you to all involved in keeping up the standards of such a great school.

What an experience the musical is - May 2012
We wish to express our thanks regarding the tremendous effort being expended on the production of 'Wonder in Aliceland'. Both our children are thoroughly enjoying the experience of learning the process of exactly how a production is pieced together and their own roles of rehearsing and set desing. Meeting new friends from different grades is also an added bonus. Without a doubt, this will become a treasured school memory for many years to come.

Efforts are much appreciated - May 2012
I just wanted to tell you how much I appreciated all you and your staffs efforts in the great success of Under 8s Day. My kids had a great day, and I was amazed by the variety of activities on offer and the time and effort that had gone into each and every activity. Please pass on my thanks and congratulations to the lower primary staff. What a great day!

What a fabulous school community we have - May 2012
I just wanted to say “thank you” and if you could please pass on many thanks to all the staff and parents that made Under 8’s Day such a fun and happy day.

As a parent that works full time, it’s not always easy to get time off work to enjoy these sorts of day with your children. My daughter was quite upset that her mum or dad weren’t attending! I was so pleased to hear of the wonderful day she had and all the fun things the kids got to do. I really appreciate all that is done to make learning fun.

What a fabulous school community we have.

Fantastic Under 8's Day - May 2012
I just wanted to pass on my congratulations to the school for hosting such a lovely Under 8's day yesterday.

I sometimes forget that my 'big Year 2 boy' is still so young and with the pace of life as it is, it was fantastic just to be able to stop and enjoy spending time with my child and watching him be a kid. As parents, I think we get consumed with thinking 'What did you learn today?" and we forget to take the time to let our children play and be children. The day was a true celebration of childhood.

A tremendous thanks must go to all the wonderful teachers and coordinators and other volunteers who made the day such a success. My son thoroughly enjoyed himself and commented to his father last night that it was "the best day of his life".

Note of thanks - May 2012
I would like you to please pass on our families appreciation of the wonderful Under 8's Day we attended yesterday. It was a huge success and no doubt it took a lot of effort to organise. It will be a happy and exciting memory in our childrens minds for many years and I thank you and your team of dedicated people for that.

Lovely Mother's Day Concert & Morning Tea - May 2012
Thank you for once again putting on a lovely and memorable Mother's Day concert and morning tea. Thank you so much to all the staff who worked so hard to have us entertained and fed. The little gifts were such a lovely gesture and one I will certainly treasure.

I was so impressed with the musical and singing talent of the kids and the effort the teachers and children made to practise!  They all clearly love what they are doing!

Thank you for making me such a proud parent... I am truly blessed to have my child in this school.

Motivational Speaker, Nick Vujicic - March 2012
I would just like to express my sincere gratitude for the wonderful opportunity for the students today.  When I picked my daughter up after school she was so excited to tell me about the wonderful man she had met, and how inspiring Mr Vujicic's presence was and his words were so motivating to her.  It bought tears to my eyes as I listened to her excitement.  We went straight to her grandparents house and she had us all sitting around the computer, sharing his life stories.  She felt so privileged to be able to give him a cuddle.  As a family it really made us all reflect on what was happening in our life at the moment.  It is opportunities like this that make us so proud to be part of the Genesis community!

Happy parent - November 2011
I have just attended the End of Year Celebration for Prep this morning and had the most magnificent time ever.  I think what you have done for these children is absolutely fantastic and I am so excited about my investment to my sons future with this most outstanding school.  I cannot find enough words to say “thank you” and how absolutely wonderful each and every one at Genesis Christian College are. Mr Wylie made the most brilliant speech I have ever heard and really made me think about the time we spend with our children and how very precious it is.

From the moment I entered your school three years ago now and met Mrs Swanson, my family fell in love with your school and the only regret we have is not having the opportunity to start here earlier.

Today actually bought a tear to my eye with the presentations and most gorgeous songs the children sang.  The smiles on these childrens faces when on stage says it all.  Presenting them all individually with a certificate is something I will treasure for a very long time.  What a special occasion and you make these beautiful little people feel so very special. (I looked over at them all when the slide show was on and they were all singing out loud, smiling so large and truly enjoying life.)

I have two daughters also attending Genesis and they absolutely love school, I know that this is due to the fantastic school they attend and all of your beautiful teachers.  They actually were fortunate enough to attend this mornings celebration as they are very close to their little brother and we try to let them attend all of his achievements and celebrations.  I don’t think they had any idea how fantastic their morning was going to be and were filled with so much happiness and joy, they were so thankful for being able to witness this wonderful event.

This being our third year at Genesis, we have attended Awards nights for Middle School and Senior School as well, and I find myself every year after Awards Night or Musical or Spectacular telling friends and family about the incredibly high standard these events you hold are. I love going to them and look forward to so many more. Mr Barker and Mr Martin also always have the most amazing words to say and are so enthusiastic about their tasks ahead.  These children at Genesis Christian College are so incredibly lucky.

Thank you to everyone who organised today, we loved it and look forward to attending many more celebrations at Genesis Christian College.

Thank you - November 2011
Thank-you, thank-you, THANK-YOU for a wonderful last day for the Senior students and their families.  The Valedictory Service was such a wonderful honouring of the students, and the Lord.  The Guard of Honour will be something all the students of Genesis will remember, not just the Seniors.

The Auditorium looked amazing for the Pre-formal function and the red carpet was a wonderful touch.  All in all a wonderful way to end 13 years' schooling at Genesis Christian College.  The memories of that day will last a life-time and we so greatly appreciate all the effort that went in to making it so special.

Prospective parent - October 2011
We would like to enrol our daughter at Genesis because we believe you share similar philosophies, beliefs and values as our own.  The children we know from Genesis are all confident, well spoken, well dressed, polite and self-disciplined, this is what we want for our daughter.

Impressed grandparent - August 2011
I have just come home from Grandparents' Day and as a retired Educator of 45+ years I would like to congratulate you all on the professional excellence you all displayed today.  The children were wonderful and so full of enthusiasm and beautifully trained.  Your christian heart was also beautifully displayed.  Thank you.

Year 12 graduation day - November 2010
We would  like to thank you and your College for making Graduation Day such a memorable and special occasion. Every aspect of the day was done with such passion, sincerity and thought and it made us so proud of our daughter and also made us very aware how fortunate we are that our children are part of a very special learning environment.

We sincerely would like to thank you and your staff for all their hard work over the past 11 years in teaching and mentoring our daughter which has made a large contribution in making her the person she is today.

We wish you and all of your staff all the very best for the future. Thank you.

Year 12 send off - November 2010
We feel compelled to write this email to express our sincere appreciation for the efforts of the entire school in organising and delivering a first class send off for the class of 2010.

The manner in which Genesis celebrated this very special milestone for the Yr 12 body was equally rewarding for all the families & guests who attended the celebration. My son's grandparents who travelled up from Melbourne to attend the graduation service particularly enjoyed themselves and commented that "this was the perfect send off". Everyone we spoke to on the day/night were equally impressed.

Every aspect of the day from the valedictory service, morning tea, guard of honor to the gathering before the formal was executed perfectly without exception.  Everything from the well organised formal photo's, beautifully decorated function room and the red carpet to the limo's made the lead up to the formal ideal.

Please extend our congratulations to all the staff.

Once again thank you for your outstanding efforts.

Open Day - November 2010
I am writing to thank you for the wonderful Open Day tour and for the opportunity of en enrolment assessment for our daughter.

She was just buzzing with excitement after her assessment morning and we all really enjoyed the tour of the school.  We were so impressed with the confidence of the students and the way in which they conducted their tour with us.

Again, thank you and we look forward to the next stage in the enrolment process.

Sincere congratulations - September 2010
I just wanted to pass on my sincere congratulations to all staff and students involved in last night's concert.  I was so impressed with the level of professionalism and talent.  Although my son was only in one performance, I really enjoyed the entire concert from start to finish.  Every single child shone on stage and was clearly passionate about their performance.  School concerts have come a long way since I was at school!  I can only imagine what fantastic and talented performers some of the students will be by the time the reach Year 12.

Wonderful performance - September 2010
I wish to acknowledge the wonderful performance that your students and staff presented in the production of 'High School Musical'.  My family was invited to attend by friends at both my children's Youth Group and our own Home Group.  We are certainly pleased we were given that opportunity and the performance was more than worth the money.  It was of a professional standard and you, as Principal, can be extremely proud of your students, staff and the director involved.  It certainly would not be easy to work with that many amateurs and produce that high a standard.  Even the costumes and props were fantastic.

My daughter performed in a 'High School Musical' performance through a professional theatre but I have to say the performance at Genesis was overall of a higher standard.

Even the students ushering did a great job and were caring. They remained calm and friendly.

Well done everyone!  We would certainly be interested in attending any future Productions that Genesis may produce.

Letter of appreciation - August 2010
I recently received our Genesis Christian College Enrolment Certificate for our youngest son to start Prep in 2011.  Whilst I am thankful for that, and very excited about the next 13 years at Genesis Christian College, I feel I must say in writing how much we appreciate the Little Genesis Early Learning Centre.  It has been a fine introduction to the independence of school life and I am sure that my son's experiences there will stand him in good stead when he attends classes on the other side of the car park!

More particularly, I wish to express my sincere gratitude to the team and for the excellent job they do in caring for our children.  They have inspired everyone with their love of Christ, creativity and enthusiasm for life and the special touch which has transformed the Centre into a blaze of colour and vibrancy.  Every corner is inviting, and many people I speak to have remarked on how their approach has lifted the Centre to a new level.

Our personal situation is such that we have needed to rely on Little Genesis to take the place of our family, and they have done that tremendously well.  I feel completely comfortable leaving my son in the care of the Little Genesis team, knowing that our values are their values and that they have his best interests at heart.  As a busy parent, I appreciate greatly the efforts the team continually put in with all the excursions, activities and events, and even the day to day learning has been wonderful for him.

Thank you for "guarding the gate", so to speak, and for believing in the type of schooling that Genesis Christian College and Little Genesis provide.  We are aware that your jobs are not always easy, and we appreciate all the work you do to maintain the high standards that both entities have achieved.

Open Day – May 2010
I am writing to thank you for the opportunity to talk with you personally at the school Orientation Day.  Our conversation reinforced my husband’s and my decision that Genesis Christian College is definitely where we would like our daughter to attend school.

Both my husband and I attended private schools and understand the benefits of a private education from various aspects including the community environment, Christian values and academic achievement.  We both continued to complete tertiary studies which have then supported our professional careers.  We believe the school will provide a solid base for our daughter no matter what she chooses to pursue career wise and particularly if she chooses to continue on to a tertiary institution for further academic advancement.

On the day I was lucky enough to be escorted by one of your senior students.  I was most impressed by her nature, well roundedness and her pride and enthusiasm for the school and school community.  The curriculum is diverse and the facilities state of the art, with the recent construction only adding to the ability of the school to support the students.

  • The key points of our discussion which reinforced my family’s decision were as follows:
The size and number of the school allows for each individual’s progress to be monitored unlike many others where students are lost in the masses.
  • The school’s policy on discipline and the boundaries set with regards to behaviour both inside and outside of school.  In particular I was most impressed by the school’s foresight to capture within the policy the possible negative use of the internet and programs such as facebook etc and set appropriate disciplinary action.
  • The ability to complete tertiary studies in the final school years is a definite attraction if our daughter is academically inclined.
  • The sensible approach to Christianity given the number of denominations amongst both students and teachers.  As discussed this supports our family ideals in that I was christened catholic and my husband Presbyterian but both have found in particular myself that the church has not moved with the times.  I think the non-denominational aspect of the school is great as it allows acceptance of others with different beliefs but common values.  I also liked the way that the school would direct those ‘curly’ questions to church ministers or priests rather than provide an answer that may not align with the chosen denomination’s beliefs.

Thank you once again for your time, we really appreciate it.
