Little Genesis Educators – Casual

Little Genesis Early Learning Centre is an initiative of Genesis Christian College, Bray Park and is an Early Learning Centre for children aged from 6 weeks through to Kindergarten. We exist to nurture a love of Christ, a love of learning and a love of life.

We are seeking to employ qualified Casual Educators to join our team of experienced and passionate staff in our Early Learning Centre, conveniently located on the grounds of Genesis Christian College at Bray Park.

You will need to possess:

  • Cert III in Children Services(minimum)
  • HLTAID004 – First Aid, CPR, Anaphylaxis, Asthma Management certificates
  • Working with Children Check (Blue Card)
  • Child Protection Certificate

The successful applicant will:

  • Have experience working within a childcare environment
  • Have excellent communication and interpersonal skills with demonstrated ability to build relationships with stake holders
  • Be able to respond to needs and concerns of children to ensure quality of service meets agreed standards

To be successful, you will have:

Help Desk Trainee

Full Time

We are seeking a Full Time Help Desk Trainee commencing as soon as possible.

Reporting to the Director of ICT, this position is responsible for rapidly resolving technology issues that are reported through the College ticket system. The position requires a hands-on person who is able to deliver a quality support experience for staff and students. Help Desk support is a critical success factor for College educational outcomes, as students participate in a one-to-one laptop/iPad program. Teachers and administrators are highly dependent on reliable and efficient desktop, laptop and mobile devices to perform their duties.

Key Responsibilities include:

  1. Undertaking and completing a Certificate IV in IT while working Full Time.
  2. Supporting the College’s desktop/laptop/tablet fleet and associated peripherals including printers, AV projectors, sound systems, mobile devices and other digital learning technologies.
  3. Ensuring desktop service and support to the College is of the highest standards, with a strong customer
  4. Assisting with device repairs and warranty
  5. Processing desktop tickets in the Service Desk
  6. Assisting with training users in how to use and leverage their devices and increase knowledge on any ICT concepts they may lack understanding of.
  7. Application packaging (WYSE / Admin Studio Suite / Microsoft Windows Installer).
  8. Maintaining a clean, safe and tidy work environment and report potential hazards and risks in a timely
  9. Ensuring all requests and incidents are recorded and fully documented in the Service Desk system, following ITSM/ITIL processes (Request, Incident, Problem, Change, Release).

ICT Help Desk Officer

Our modern, well equipped campus is located on the north side of Brisbane with an enrolment of over 1500 students from Prep to Year 12. 

We are seeking a Full Time Help Desk Officer commencing as soon as possible.

Reporting to the Director of IT, the IT Help Desk Officer’s primary objective is to rapidly resolve technology issues that are reported through the College ticket system. The position requires a hands-on technician who delivers a quality support experience for staff and students. Help Desk support is a critical success factor for College educational outcomes, as students participate in a one-to-one laptop/iPad program. Teachers and administrators are now highly dependent on reliable and efficient desktop, laptop and mobile devices to perform their duties.

Key Responsibilities include:

  1. Supporting the College’s desktop/laptop/tablet fleet and associated peripherals including printers, AV projectors, sound systems, mobile devices and other digital learning technologies.
  2. Ensuring desktop service and support to the College is of the highest standards, with a strong customer
  3. Coordinating device repairs and managing warranty
  4. Processing desktop tickets in the Service Desk
  5. Assisting with training users in how to use and leverage their devices and increase knowledge on any ICT concepts they may lack understanding of.
  6. Maintaining a highly reliable and effective desktop / laptop / tablet fleet through maintaining a stable Standard Operating Environment (SOE), testing new applications utilising the Colleges’ test framework and ensuring required software updates are applied in a timely manner.
  7. Maintaining the Information Systems Asset Register and Application Register (licencing).
  8. Ensure all requests and incidents are recorded and fully documented in the Service Desk system, following ITSM/ITIL processes (Request, Incident, Problem, Change, Release).

  • Microsoft certification is highly desirable
  • Proven capability supporting a desktop environment in a comparable
  • Familiarity with service desk systems and processes underpinned by ITSM/ITIL
  • Demonstrated achievements in and commitment to the provision of quality customer service to a diverse range of clients.
  • Strong interpersonal skills including the ability to convey complex ICT concepts to non-IT users

Our Learn to Swim kids are hiring!

We asked our youngest Genesis swimmers who their ideal swimming teacher would be, and they came up with this impressive list:
