Our Outside School Hours Care (OSHC) provides quality care for children and their families in a safe and enjoyable environment. Students participate in a range of activities appropriate to their interests and development from Prep to Year 7. We have a brand-new purpose-built facility,built on the grounds of Genesis Christian College and designed to make the OSHC experience great for all students to enjoy and be engaged in play in a home-away-from-home atmosphere.

As the Director, you will be required to oversee the daily operations of the service, lead, guide, and support a team which provides high quality OSHC services and care to our children. Reporting to the Head of Primary School, you will be responsible and accountable for compliance, the overall operations of the service, which includes management, administration, and staffing.Our service is a dynamic yet caring environment with the capacity for 160 children to attend per day, caring for children between the ages of 4 years through to 12 years.

The successful applicant will have:
Previous experience working as an OSHC Director or Director of an Early Learning facility is highly desirable. We also encourage aspiring leaders who may have held a position of Assistant Director or similar.
Demonstrated prior experience leading and motivating teams.
Exceptional written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills.
Positive, effective and motivationalleadership skills with demonstrated capability leading in the Early Childhood sector.
Demonstrated knowledge of the Government regulations, legislation and National Quality Standards (NQS).
The ability to ensure service philosophy, policies, procedures and standards are upheld by all team members.
A strong influence to implement the delivery of a high quality, inclusive educational play-based program.
Ensuring the OSHC’s Quality Improvement Plan is implemented and that the Service makes a significant contribution exceeding the National Quality Standard for Early Education and Care.
Ensuring that the service and staff act on the OSHC’s commitment to continuous improvement wherever possible.
Knowledge in the Assessment and Rating process is advantageous.
Knowledge of play-based programs.
Quality care to meet the individual and group needs of school age children in a respectful, supportive, equitable and inclusive manner.
Willingness to engage with the strong Christian ethos of our College.
We are looking for candidates who hold:
Diploma of Early Childhood Education and Care or Degree in Early Childhood Education
Anaphylaxis, Asthma, CPR and First Aid certificates or willing to obtain
Current Paid Blue Card
Current Child Protection certificate or willing to obtain
Availability to work Monday to Friday between the hours of operation (6:15am – 6:30pm) on a roster and be responsible for opening and closing the service in rotation.

Genesis Sports and Aquatic has operated out of Genesis Christian College’s sporting facility for almost 10 years. The College Sports precinct boasts an Aquatic Centre, Fitness Centre, and 3 multi-purpose indoor Sports Courts and 2 multi-purpose outdoor sports courts. Together with the operation of secondary school sport and with partnership to the Pine Rivers Rowing Club we have successfully engaged in Greater Brisbane rowing events for the past four years.
We are seeking a casual Rowing Coach to coach the Genesis Rowing team in collaboration with the coaches from Pine Rivers Rowing Club and the Genesis Rowing Coordinator. This is a brilliant opportunity for an experienced coach to inspire students in the sport of rowing. As an employee of Genesis, you will be contributing to an exceptional learning environment that promotes the strong aims of an independent Christian school.
You will be responsible for:
Liaising with the Rowing Coordinator, Club Coaches and Athletes within the rowing program
Registering athletes for competition
Creating a season training plan in line with season events with assistance from the Pine Rivers rowing club coaches
Arranging transportation of equipment, such as boats for competitions
Attending season events
Monitoring athletes and their training schedules ensuring they meet expectations
Providing positive reinforcement and motivation to all session attendees
Completing regular equipment audits
Ensuring the same standard of discipline is upheld by all athletes participating in a GSA coached service.
To be successful, you will have:
Previous experience rowing and/or working in the rowing industry
Existing Rowing Coaching licence or ability to obtain
Current Working with Children check
Ability to work well in a team as well as independently when required
Demonstrated time management and organizational skills;
Reliable and trustworthy.
