Genesis students will create a virtual reality game showing a historically accurate recreation of our local area before colonisation.
Brett Leavy from Bilbie Virtual Labs introduced staff to the Virtual Songlines project that will be taking place at Genesis next year.
Brett is a proud First Nations man and his graphic design company will work with Genesis students to research the histories and traditions of the Turrbul Indigenous People who belong to this land.
Brett opened our teachers’ eyes to how all Genesis students will code and create a computer game that shows a historically accurate recreation of our local area before colonisation. The students will create authentic layers of the local Genesis area that will form the virtual reality game. From the landscape to the native wildlife and local bush tucker – every element will be authentic to our local area.
The game will use industry standard technology and methods, integrating Artificial Intelligence and Virtual Reality.
