Instrumental Music Program
Learning an instrument is one of the most beneficial activities to a child’s development. At Genesis we provide a quality instrumental program.
The Instrumental Music program caters for a wide variety of instruments through provision of specialised training. Students involved have opportunities to perform on Mother’s Day, Grandparents’ Day, and yearly instrumental recitals, with the transition from Primary to Secondary a seamless one.
Year 3 Strings Program
A beginner program that includes group tuition on Violin, Viola or Cello, and includes a beginner ensemble rehearsal each week. All Year 3 students are invited to participate in this program and are tested for aptitude and instrument size.
Year 4 Program
Students are invited to participate in this program. It offers group lessons on an allocated woodwind or brass instrument and students come together each week to rehearse as a beginner concert band ensemble. A small fee includes all groups lessons, ensemble participation and instrument hire. The ensemble performs at school events and local concert band festivals.
