Privacy Policy
Genesis Christian College is bound by the Australian Privacy Principles contained in the Commonwealth Privacy Act. This Privacy Policy sets out how the College uses and manages personal information provided to or collected by it. Disclosure Agreement
Please note the following conditions of enrolment at Genesis Christian College; full and frank disclosure of all information must be provided by the parent/s in writing, to the College regarding the student's medical, educational, physical, emotional, and/or psychological conditions, during the enrolment process, leading up to the commencement of enrolment, and ongoing throughout the student’s enrolment at the College. Failure to provide full and frank disclosure in writing may be in breach of the subsequent contractual agreement thus rendering it void and the enrolment offer or ensuing enrolment, may be withdrawn.
Authority to Release Information
Genesis Christian College collects educational information about a child prior to entry, to enable the College to provide appropriate education and support for each student and to discharge duty of care during enrolment at the College. Permission for release of information is obtained upon application for enrolment for this purpose. A request may be made by the College, on behalf of parents, to obtain school records, including school readiness information or make direct contact with teachers and other professionals to assist in the education and support of students.
In some individual circumstances, it may be required for an authorised Genesis Christian College teacher to visit a child’s Kindergarten for the purpose of onsite observation and direct communication with the child’s Kindergarten teacher in understanding an individual child’s needs. Permission to conduct onsite observations will be requested separately and authority confirmed with the parent.
