The USA Dance Tour is an exciting opportunity for all Years 9 to 12 students (in 2017), to enhance their dance and performance education.
The tour will take place biannually, with the inaugural trip booked for December 2017. All students with an interest and passion in Dance and the performing arts are invited to apply to attend the trip.
Whilst in the United States of America, the selected team will have some outstanding, ‘once in a lifetime’ dance opportunities, including, but not limited to: workshops with the New York City Ballet and Broadway Dance Centre as well as backstage tours of Broadway, Radio City Music Hall and the Rockefeller Centre. They will have the opportunity to go and see live performances, attend a Gospel church service and then fly down to Florida where they will participate in a behind the scenes Disneyworld workshop and do a live public performance in Disneyworld.
The tour will also incorporate site seeing opportunities such as the Statue of Liberty, 9/11 Memorial, Universal walk and more. The purpose of this tour is to challenge, extend and inspire students in their dance endeavours, whilst giving them new cultural and educational experiences, outside of the classroom. All students who believe they qualify are invited to apply for a place on the team.
