Launch Overview
To facilitate a smooth start to the academic year, new students to the College are invited to New Student Orientation Sessions on Thursday, 18 January.
For the purpose of classifying students, a “NEW” student is any student entering Prep to Year 12 who is starting at Genesis in 2024 (not students who went to Genesis in 2023).
Uniform Requirement
All new students are required to wear their Genesis formal day uniform and regulation school shoes on this morning for ID photos.

Prep Student ID Photo
Prep student ID photos will be taken in the first week of school. All Prep students are required to have a Genesis Christian College ID photo.
Primary School Technology, Book & Stationery Supply
The College will be providing technology and all required workbooks, exercise books, resources and stationery for Prep students straight to their classroom on the first day of school. None of these books will require covering.

Primary Student ID Photo
Location: C4
Time: 7:30am – 9:30am
All new Primary students are required to have a Genesis Christian College ID photo. ID photos will be available in C4.
Primary School Technology, Book & Stationery Supply
The College will be providing technology and all required workbooks, exercise books, resources and stationery for Primary students in their classroom on the first day of school.
Workbooks are required to be covered, and families will need to send the relevant number of covers with their child on the first day of school. Please see the relevant requirements for each Year level below. The teachers will supervise the covering of books in class and will also provide labels to ensure all books are correctly named and labelled. Note that only book covers will be acceptable, not contact material which requires cutting out. Book covers can be purchased at most stationery outlets e.g Officeworks, Newsagencies, Big W, K Mart etc.

Textbook collection (Library) * All Year 7 students and new students will get a copy of their timetable. ** Year 10 students will get a subject listing only and will sign up to become members of the State Library of QLD. |
Please note Edutesting will occur from 10:30am -1:30pm for new Year 7, 8 or 9 students who have not previously taken the test in Sept 2023. Edutest is an assessment test held for any new Year 7 students that missed the testing in September 2023 and all new students starting in Year 8 and Year 9.
Please sign in at Main Reception and wait to be escorted to Room B20.

Uniform Shop
The Uniform Shop will be open from 7:30am – 3:30pm for general purchases only (no full fit outs). If you require a full uniform fit-out, please phone the uniform shop on 3882 9031 to arrange an appointment.
First Aid
First Aid staff will be available from 8:15am – 2:30pm at Student Reception located in the main Administration building, for students/families who have any medical action plans e.g. Anaphylaxis, Asthma, Diabetes or medical queries.
Extra-curricular Sign-on (Online)
We are excited to have an online component to Launch 24 where, from the comfort of your own home and in your own time, you can:

- Sign up for classes at Genesis Sport & Aquatics, Genesis Dance & Drama Academy, Instrumental Music and other various clubs/activities
