Year 11 and 12 at Genesis Christian College are an important training ground for our students’ entry into the wider community as they begin to take their place in the world as a contributing adult.
Year 11 and 12 Study at Genesis
The College curriculum provides great diversity, offering a wide range of academic and practical subjects. Genesis students undertake six courses of study for the full two years of senior schooling.

School-Based Subjects
Genesis provides two school-based courses, Christian Life Studies and Personal Development. All students complete these courses.
QCAA Senior Syllabuses Offered by Genesis
The QCAA develops senior subject syllabuses including General, Applied and others. Results in General and Applied subjects contribute to the award of a Queensland Certificate of Education (QCE), and may contribute to an Australian Tertiary Admission Rank (ATAR) calculation.
The Senior General syllabuses are underpinned by literacy and numeracy skills as well as 21st century skills. Applied syllabuses are underpinned by literacy and numeracy skills as well as applied learning skills, community connections and core skills for work.

- The College reserves the right to withdraw a subject from the curriculum if the student subscription numbers are not sufficient enough to make it viable
- Subjects with only a small number of students may run as composite classes containing both Year 11 and 12 students.
